This past Friday was wine and cheese night at my house with the girls. A full spread of chocolate covered popcorn, cheeses, macaroons and of course wine.......along with laughter and gossip was enjoyed. These nights are way too rare... but when they do happen I get all dressed up like I'm going out on the town because for a stay at home mom girls night (even at your house) is an event :) I'm absolutely smitten with this top because I wore it at my rehearsal dinner and I thought it would be a perfect juxtaposition to pair it with distressed boyfriend jeans. Anywhos, (time permitting) the plan is to start posting on Mondays & Thursdays.....sooo see ya Thursday skrillas!

Ok so I'm an 80's baby, which means I developed my style in the 90's evidenced by a. i rocked mickey mouse chuck tailors (along with 10 other pairs of chucks) b. I tied my sweatshirts around my waist and c. I learned the value of Calvin Klein's minimalism from Cher Horowitz. Everyone knows fashion is cyclical, but I was wondering what the appropriate wait time after a decade is over when you can start to rehash and right now the 90's are back in full swing. This personally makes me happy because practically speaking a sweatshirt tied around you waist just makes cray cray temperature changes from outside to inside way easier to handle.......so happy to be back skrillas!!!!!!!

Guess Who's Back

Well skrillas, its been about 3 months since we last spoke and a lot has happend. Let me start by saying THANK YOU for all of the emails and support wodering where I was over this little hiatus, it meant the world to me.....as for the past 3 months.... I turned 25, I chopped 12 inches of hair off and my husband and I celebrated our 2nd wedding anniversary!!!! I had to take a little break because the blogosphere was making me a little jaded and neurotic but I think I've found the balance. Also during my break I gave myself a little style makeover to keep up with the demands of motherhood. I'm LOVING neutrals, chambray, animal prints and the color red......I'm living in gladiator sandals and loafers.....and I can't seem to get enough cutoffs. I recently went to a TriFabb event and I realized how much I missed blogging....however, with the demands of everything going on I will only be able to post once or twice a week...so bear with me! The first couple of shots are from the event where my AMAZING and very (beautifully) pregnant photographer Molly snapped these shots...the last shots are favorite outfits and moments since I chopped all of my hair off......hope to see you real soon!!!!!! PS you can still follow on instagram @doodlesmom812 for daily outfits and doodle shenanigans :)
