Thankfully the weather could not have been more perfect for the wedding weekend...but on Sunday morning it was like a smack in the face from reality to wake up to cold rain  knowing real life had begun again. Sam and I couldn't go on a honeymoon right now for many reasons but honestly all I wanted Sunday afternoon was to sit in our house together with Wrigley and Doodle and to stuff my face with some well deserved chips and dip... happily ever after is all in the eye of the beholder....

So the wedding day is rapidly approaching.... And people are starting to make their way here for the events including my aunt and uncle from Germany (my moms side of the family is all from Nuremberg) most of my family couldn't make the voyage across the Atlantic but I'm so happy my aunt and uncle could! Yesterday we had breakfast with them downtown and it was such a wonderful morning :) ps thank you for all of the kind comments on the last post, I still get tickled when anyone stops by my little spit up covered corner of the blogosphere and I hope you keep coming back!

"Everyday"- Snapshots

The monotany of "everyday" life sometimes gets to me, so today I decided to pack up dinner and have a picnik. We bypassed the usual dinner in front of the tv with doodle discovering that getting dirty is really fun...watching a couple of Canadian geese get into a fight in the pond...and the feel of grass between our toes! What was on the menu you ask...tofu stir-fry and edemame...not your "everyday" picnik :)

Throw on a Hat- Snapshots

Sometimes you just have to load up the car...throw on a hat...and enjoy the day. It was a beautiful afternoon spent sunbathing in the park and watching doodle discover grass. I am really hoping that this weather lasts because I could use 8 million more afternoons exactly like this :)

Beautiful Saturday Afternoon-Snapshots

Yesterday was an absolutely beautiful afternoon. It was spent at the marriage of my good friend Kaitlin at the enchanting Sutherland house and it couldn't have been more perfect. I think you can see from the pictures it was a pretty good shindig....the first being me with my maid of honor, the bride and groom, half of the wedding guesst watching the State-Carolina game on an iphone (sidenote- yes that is my husband in the back standing on a chair...), my husband and I dancing and the groom and some of his friends dancing to YMCA...as the Village People. It could not have been a more perfect day :)

Worth The Trip- Snapshots

After having to reschedule my bridal portraits twice because of weather..I ended up just staying at my parents house at the beach....and today was more than worth the trip. Doodle and I spent the morning down at the neighborhood dock and it was one of the most peaceful mornings I have ever had in my life. I'm about to put my dress on and head down to the beach....still pretty surreal even though I'm already married, I hope the weather is this nice for all of you guys, see you tomorrow :)
