Husband Repelling....A Thanksgiving Recipe If You Will

While writing this post I noticed this week's theme was definitely husband repelling which led me to this next thought.......You know what I am thankful for....obviously my amazing family....but I am also thankful for the fact that I've already landed an (amazing) man which has allowed my man repelling direction in fashion to really flourish.  I am lucky that my husband loves me no matter what I look like (especially when I was preggo!). So here is a little recipe on how to dress to repel your husband (in a fun spirited sort of way of course :) ).....

Step 1: toss on multiple layers....  

Step 2: Rock some crazy printed pants

Step 3: Wear a crazy amount of jewelry

And there you have it skrillas.....a week's worth of husband repelling, hope you had a great Thanksgiving!

I am soo excited to show you today's Copycat Lookbook ensemble......silky wide leg pants, a tailored blazer, bright pumps and ladylike handbag from an outfit I've been OBSESSING over in Lucky Magazine. I was like holy moses I have all of those items, I can totally rock that....and here it is.

Molly and I had a lot of fun with this outfit because of the print and movement of the pants......if this wasn't a Copycat Lookbook post then I would have named it "Mentally Disabled Flamingo" because that's what I looked like during the first couple of jumping shots.....but that last one was the money shot, I felt like I could hear Tyra telling me she was proud of my smize.

You know, most wives would probably be offended if their husband told them their outfit resembled lawn furniture, HA, not this girl. That comment was a sure fire sign that I had a blog-worthy outfit. As a fashion blogger I feel it is my job, neigh, my duty to push my own fashion boundaries so that it in turn pushes you, my lovely readers to try things out of your comfort zone.

Print on print...yea boy....throw in another print......add the "willy wonka sunglasses" and some menswear inspired loafers and boom, done.....this is probably my favorite outfit...EVER. Back to the "willy wonka" comment so eloquently mentioned by my mother....I was like "dukes, these are prada baroque sunnies....they are a work of art....and if i have to look like willy wonka while donning them....its just a hazard of the trade!"

Now that my friends... is how you know you have a winner....when your mother AND your husband both have things to say about your outfit :)
