Day 2 of the Who What Wear 30 day wardrobe challenge: wear at least 2 different textures………well I'd say I've got like 4 or 5 going on so boom done. I saw a street style shot a couple of months ago that's been saved on my desktop of a girl in an all white ensemble with a camel coat and black pumps. I would have initially gone with light colored heels but I loved how the black pumps totally grounded the look and here is the debut of my vintage Louis….ahhhh heaven.

Day 51:  walked the trail around Yates Mill Pond by myself…….very therapeutic mommy time

So this is the progression from Monday afternoon getting frozen yogurt in the 65 degree weather….. to Tuesday with a 30 degree temperature drop (in my fave vintage blazer)….. to Wednesday morning waking up to a winter wonderland and Doodle's 1st snow. Shorts one day and 4 layers the next…..happy weekend friends…..stay warm :)

The Doodle man and myself have been under the weather the past couple of days but we powered through our annual shopping trip like champs. I don't know about you guys but when I'm sick I crave comfort in the form of my favorite clothes. My 3 favorite scarves…my fave 2 pairs of Rag and Bone jeans, my moto style jean jacket  and some pairs of pony hair Sam Edelman shoes were just the ticket. Saturday night we went to our favorite Brazillian Steakhouse so I at least put a nice outfit on for that (plus I've had this vintage skirt for 5 years now and still have yet to wear it so it was time). Anywhos, wish us luck at the doctor today and remember your vitamin c :))

Today's look: Classic & Chic

Classic pieces put together in an interesting way can totally transform a look. First, find a great leather tote.....you will use it for years to come (I promise), then, get yourself a great tailored blazer. Throw it over your shoulders like a cape with some denim for an easy every day look or pair it with a pencil skirt and great heels. Ankle boots also stand the test of time for every style, leather specifically seems polished. And stack up on striped tees, you can purchase these at any price range and they look good with just about everything.

Just another quick post today (the housework seems to never end, sorry I haven't been able to catch up with  reading my fave blogs...hopefully this weakend.)  Just wanted to remind you guys about tomorrow's styling event at Madewell.
