Good lord friends, I'll be honest, motherhood is kicking my butt. Doodle is like the energizer bunny in human form, he just keeps going and going and going. I wore this ensemble to a little Stella & Dot get together last night and I was so happy to catch up with old friends. By the time I got there I felt like I could pass out and realized after seeing these pics that this outfit defintely needed a coat of lipstick to make me look more like a human...but ya know, it is what it is :)

Well friends, its the middle of the week again and I'm learning very quickly as I push forward into the abyss they call motherhood that  all I want to wear is outfits I can chase the doodle man around in. Don't get me wrong, I'm super excited about girl's night this week where I can dress up and also for some events I have coming up this month BUT put me in a top and bottom that I can move around in with a pair of flats and cute sunnies.......and I'm ready to go!!

Hello friends, I hope you had a great Easter weekend. Mine was spent enjoying some time at the beach, watching doodle's first easter egg hunt and stealing chocolate out of doodle's easter basket....pretty good stuff. I wore this ensemble to brunch yesterday and remembered how much I love maxi dresses....and brunch for that matter. There are two kinds of people in the world...those that view fashion as art.....and those that don't.....if you are of the second category you should probably stop reading this and go check the stock market or something...just kidding, but seriously. I know people often claim to "love" fashion but there are few that I've come across that appreciate it in such a way. I'm very honored to be wearing this tee designed by Allison from A's Fashion Files because she is one of those people that shows her love of art and fashion and how they combine on a daily basis. That is all :)

You guys know I lurve my bright colors, prints and pattern mixing but there are those (very) rare mornings that I wake up and crave simplicity. I think there is a fine line between simple and boring.....a simple outfit can be chic if you play with interesting shapes and clean lines (thank you Sheree for teaching me that :).  PS I'm heading to my parents house at the beach today so be sure to follow mine and Doodle's seaside shenanigans on instagram :)

Its so weird for me to say that I don't wear dresses all that often these days.....the Doodle man is so fast that my days are usually spent darting after him, getting yogurt thrown on my outfit and wanting to be as comfy as possible. But every now and then I like to remind myself that I am still a girl that likes to rock a flouncy dress and have it blow in the wind.....just for a day.  PS yesterday I definitely fished Doodle out of a fountain....he was very pleased with himself.
