Ok so I know I said I would do a Copycat Lookbook post today but after looking at me compared to Olivia Palermo I just wasn't feelin' it........you can see her look and my outfit on the What2Wear facebook page in case you are interested.....
Anywhos!!!!! I decided to stop feeling discouraged and look at the plethora of photos I've had saved on my computer since Fashion Week. I was actually at #ifbcon in New York in the days leading up to all of the events and a quote made by someone during the Bringing Bravery Back to Blogging panel has stuck with me ever since...."Be so good they can't ignore you"........how simple yet powerful.
With such an influx of "fashion" blogs flooding the internet these days it really is getting harder to make yourself stand out......but I've found over the past couple of months that the more I allow myself to actually wear the outfits I want to wear ....the more I actually do stand out. These images motivate and inspire me EVERY day to stop caring what everyone else thinks and to just be myself...which I hope in turn inspires you guys to be yourselves.
So I leave you with this...."Be so good they can't ignore you" and a little sneak peak of Monday's post, have a fabulous weekend skrillas :)
PS if you live in the Triangle please come out and join triFABB this Saturday at our holiday party at Clothes Hound...eek fun!

I know I am interrupting the regularly scheduled Copycat Lookbook series (which will be on Friday and going back to its home on Wednesdays next week) but I just couldn't wait to show you guys these pictures!! Its so funny how so many things change after you become a mother.....one being how you feel about seasons.
My favorite season definitely used to be Summer....do I need to explain why? That is until I got pregnant and spent the majority of Summer 2011 sitting behind a counter at work sweating like a 300 pound man seeing pictures of all of my friends out on the boat and at the beach and stuff...... That is what first turned me off. Then this past Summer it was way tooooo hot to take doodle outside and we both got cabin fever.
Now, when Fall/Autumn whatever you would like to call it arrived this year I was giddy with excitement. Jackets and scarves and playtime at the park and the leaves changing colors......its been magical really. I know I rag on North Carolina a lot (for its fashion choices) but the scenery in the Triangle in the Fall is just stunning. Now that Winter is approaching I just wanted to give a shout out to Fall.......thanks for being awesome :)
If you would like to keep up with the doodle man and myself be sure to check out my new social media buttons designed by Molly!!!!
And now for the necklace du jour....The Stella & Dot Lillith Fringe

Happy happy Monday skrillas. I just got these shoes in the mail last week (free with my Mintsider reward points!) and they are just gorgeous....the only thing is they are super va-va-voom....now, don't get me wrong I love a little bit of voom but I wanted to tone them down a little with something more masculine....like boyfriend jeans.
This lead me on a wild goose chase which ultimately ended in defeat....every pair with either too loose or too tight. I came home and scoured through my closet (my mecca, the only place in the house that is entirely mine) and pulled out these cropped trousers from Loft. A cobalt blue light bulb went off! Just enough balance off masculine and feminine......perfect for a trunk show (one of the only times during the month that I actually get to dress up!)
PS I'm linking up with Molly today so be sure to check that out.....you really need to see her new dynamite haircut!!
And for the necklace du jour....The Stella & Dot Stevie which i just found out this morning is 50% off when you use the code "PEOPLESD" at stelladot.com/brookeallen
