Per usual my stand by mom on the go outfit is monochromatic with interesting details like mohair and fringe. These past couple of weeks have been insane and I literally haven't had time to think about what I'm going to throw on. (Although after seeing Sheree do gray and camel like a boss here I want to try that next). Tonight I'm headed to the beach for my 8th annual Christmas Girls Dinner….. Can't wait to catch up with all of my friends from home….most of us are either married, have children, are pregnant or engaged…..adulthood kind of snuck up on me :)

Just a quick post today because I'm trying to catch on an enormous amount of housework from a two week vacation.....the second part of this month's "Try Two" is white denim.....yea you heard me, white denim. Forget about all of that pish tosh with "you can't wear white after labor day". I actually think it makes white denim look more interesting when you wear it into the fall and winter. Pair it with neutrals like a safari vest and leather sandals for a classic and pulled together look.

PS.......any one of my homies living in the Raleigh/Triangle area please come out this Friday and meet me for a little event I'm throwing at Madewell. They have some awesome new items coming out for fall and I will be helping style them and just chatting it up with you guys......check it out!!

Shew what a week guys. I'm incredibly happy to be going on a mini vacay this weekend to a little inn on the water with the hubs to celebrate our "un-anniversary". What's that you ask? Well the hubs and I technically got married in July of 2011 but I was 8 months preggars so we waited 'til last April 21st for the big wedding ceremony. So we are celebrating that a year has gone by since that CRAZYYYY day and the fact that we get to start going and having fun at other people's weddings and not having any stress about flowers, cakes or music. Hope you guys have a fabulous weekend!

Yesterday Doodle and I arrived at the park just as the staff was lowering the flag to half mast......nothing else to say but united we stand, divided we fall and my heart is with Boston. Figured it was the perfect time for some Levi cutoffs, what's more American than that :)

Well friends, its the middle of the week again and I'm learning very quickly as I push forward into the abyss they call motherhood that  all I want to wear is outfits I can chase the doodle man around in. Don't get me wrong, I'm super excited about girl's night this week where I can dress up and also for some events I have coming up this month BUT put me in a top and bottom that I can move around in with a pair of flats and cute sunnies.......and I'm ready to go!!

Fashion Meets Art

tee: designed by allison from a's fashion files// skirt: stylemint (loving this one )// jacket: the limited (old, similar here)// bag: furla (available here) // shoes: valentino (available here)// sunnies: kawaii kistch by a // jewels: stella & dot

There are two kinds of people in the world...those that view fashion as art.....and those that don't.....if you are of the second category you should probably stop reading this and go check the stock market or something...just kidding, but seriously. I know people often claim to "love" fashion but there are few that I've come across that appreciate it in such a way. I'm very honored to be wearing this tee designed by Allison from A's Fashion Files because she is one of those people that shows her love of art and fashion and how they combine on a daily basis. That is all :)

PS do I have the best photographer or what?! Molly is like a pregnant power house!!!!

I'll be honest with you guys....the Paris Fashion Week outfits have been some of my favorite ensembles I've ever worn....the more I push forward with this tiny blog the more courage I have to wear what I really want. If you would have asked me a year ago if I would have been donning a crop top with a vintage printed coat I would have said ya crazy but here I am. And can we talk about the new Kawaii Kitsch sunnies.....I can't get enough funky, unique accessories these days and these beauts totally fit the bill!

PS some other awesome blogs that have really been inpsiring me with their vintage finds/ overall awesomeness are:
