A lot of changes are happening in my life these days.....and I would be lying if I claimed to not be nervous about them. However, I stopped this morning and thought about how different my life was a year ago at this time......trapped in a situation I never thought I would escape.....trying to fool everyone (including myself) that I was happy and everything was fine......and now, here I am......free as a bird, living in a place I never thought I would be content with (it turns out sometimes coming home is just the ticket), being surrounded by people that truly make me happy and loving my life as I never have before. Healing is a process.....at times it can be incredibly gut wrenching and painful and even when you think you have completely healed new wounds are ripped open......but these last 7 months have taught me that the process is entirely worth the pain and risks......and I'm jumping feet first into the next chapter of my life.

Untamable

Change

Let's just say that if I could wear a silk button down with leather shorts and these Isabel Marant wedges for the rest of the summer than I would. Last year I discovered that silk button downs look just as great tucked into a pair of cutoffs with sandals as they do paired with leather and heels for a night out. Enough coverage to bend down and run around with a toddler but polished enough to wear anywhere……. These little beauties have become a wardrobe staple.

Straight up this is going to be my spring/summer uniform. I now own 3 of these white tees from Gap and I hope to acquire more because they are perfection……I now also own 4 different colors of leather track shorts….. and leather sandals…… I can never get enough. So let's just get used to me being in a white tee (yup in my white tee….anyone?), leather track shorts and leather sandals….boom done.

Day 18 of the Who What Wear 30 Day Wardrobe Challenge was "test out a new tuck." (yes I skipped day 17 because I haven't been shooting in order but it will be up next week).

Its now safe to say I have a thing for vintage skirts. This vintage Givenchy one stopped my heart upon first sight and i knew it would have a welcome place in my wardrobe. I swear folks, they just don't make things like they used to, the quality of this skirt is ridiculous. Can't wait to wear it again.
