I am ALWAYS on the hunt for the perfect belt….its feels like every time I love one it costs more than a mortgage payment and the ones I can afford for the most part just look cheap. I love going into thrift shops and vintage stores and of course Etsy looking for that one special piece and FINALLY I found it. This little vintage Gucci belt was like a breath of fresh air….it suddenly made one of my winter coats a gorgeous oversize dress……and it made me revisit a pair of trouser jeans that I've had for 6 years….that's the power of finding special pieces that are worth the wait!

Aside from a new vacuum and a Keurig, my Christmas list looked a lot different this year. I asked for patience to be the best mom that I can be... Bravery to be the best wife ... Understanding to be the best daughter...The ability to listen more than to speak to be the best friend ... and more hours in the day to be the best dog-owner. I hope you all got everything you asked for on your Christmas list :)

I'm sure by now you guys have realized I'm not an LBD type of girl….I've worn one once on the blog and after that I just realized it wasn't me. A black kimono as a dress…..sure….a floor length black jumpsuit….absolutely. But honestly I felt sexier in this all black ensemble than I ever have in a little black dress. Maybe its a little Johnny Cash or the fact that it feels like armor but I crave monochromatic black ensembles on the regular…and this is the result. Happy Monday skrillas
