Day 8 of the Who What Wear 30 Day Wardrobe Challenge was "wear an item you haven't worn in at least 6 months"…..which just so happened to be my Sam Eldelman Okala pumps. On this particular day I was super busy with 2 meetings and event (and obviously Doodle was with me)….so I needed to look put together yet still be able to chase around a crazy 2 year old. A leather jacket, boyfriend jeans and interesting (yet comfortable) shoes helped me pull the entire day off…..with a little help from some coffee and Kashi granola bars.

Speaking of keeping busy….. This Sunday March 9th Belk and the Junior League of Raleigh are rolling out the red carpet for spring fashion with a private fashion show and shopping gala at Belk of Crabtree Valley Mall from 5:00-10:00 featuring a personal appearance by renowned fashion designer Trina Turk.

In addition to the fashion show with models sporting Belk’s newest spring collections and Trina Turk’s Spring Collection of dresses, contemporary sportswear and swimwear, attendees will enjoy refreshments, live entertainment, Red Carpet giveaways, prize drawings and a Belk coupon good for 20 percent off purchases of regular and sale priced merchandise (15 percent off home and shoes) with very limited exclusions.

Tickets can be purchased in advance at the Junior League website, http://www.jlraleigh.org/?nd=fashion_forward, or at Belk of Crabtree Valley Mall. Ticket prices are $75 for VIP and $25 for general admission. VIP admission begins at 5 p.m., and 6 p.m. for general admission. The fashion show will start at 7:30 p.m. followed by a shopping event/meet and greet with Trina Turk from 8 – 10 p.m. and Red Carpet prize giveaways beginning at 8 p.m.

Day 7 of the Who What Wear 30 Day Wardrobe Challenge was "let your jewelry be the statement"…..which, if you have seen my jewelry collection from over the past 5 years you would know that was not a problem for me. I got this vintage Chanel necklace for Christmas several years ago and love pairing it with edgier statement pieces like these from Stella and Dot . I let the rest of the outfit take a backseat with a monochromatic gray, white and black color scheme….with a pop of mint   (to make it feel a little more like March than January).

Day 62: made something new for breakfast: egg whites with chickpeas, feta & cherry tomatoes

Day 63: tried a new stretching routine before bed,  stretched muscles I forgot  even had….

Day 6 of the Who What Wear 30 Day Wardrobe Challenge was "wear an item you've been saving"…….so I busted out this Clover Canyon dress that I've been saving for a special event and dressed it down as a top with some vintage cutoffs. The perfect ensemble for museum exploring with the Doodle man :)
