Happy Friday skrillas.....this past week I was reading an article on Phillip Lim (the maker of my favorite pair of oxfords in the world that I'm sporting today) when a quote he said caught my attention: "start with your quirk and build on it".......So inspirational right?! I'd like to think he was speaking directly to me, so lets just pretend he was. It feels like I have finally found my direction and that is I DON'T HAVE ONE... I discovered I can't be pegged with one "style"; I just love beautiful, interesting clothes.

And being that New York Fashion Week is in full swing right now I'm excited to share with you my current project. Instead of sulking about not being able to go to any fashion events I decided to bring them to me......Starting on Monday I'll be celebrating New York Fashion Week by showing the outfits I would wear if I was going and sitting front row at all of the shows. The next week will be London Fashion Week outfits, the week after  will be Milan Fashion Week and the piece de resistance is Paris Fashion Week. Fashion Week is the time where you just go balls to the walls with your most creative and fashion forward outfits so I'm going to really push myself and hopefully it will inspire you guys to do the same!!!

PS thank you for sharing your thoughts on what you have been afraid to do on the last past post...I really did enjoy reading all of your comments :)

And in case you missed an outfit this week....

  1. I hear ya! Wearing one style all the time would be too boring anyway! Mixing it up keeps it fun! If you gotta get dressed everyday...why not put on what makes you happy?!

  11. DAMN girl...you so totally rule! I think that's what Chels and I have discovered...we're kinda a fashion free for all, LOL. Your oxfords are so bomb...I am jealous of you. I hope you don't mind but I might steal your idea to do a post on what WE would wear to NYFW! I will link back to you as the inspiration ;)

    Love ya, mean it, ciao.

  14. What a fantastic idea! I can't wait to see your fashion week outfits. I always find fashion week street style to be so inspirational. I know you said you don't have a certain style, but if anything you kind of remind me of Anna Dello Russo. Quirky, saturated, fashion forward, killer shoes and legs that go on for miles. This red coat looks so pretty on you, the colour is super flattering against your skin tone. And I know you've heard this before, but LOVE the Lims!!

  31. That is a freaking awesome idea; but don't worry, you probably have more of an option to be creative than those of us who are actually in New York, as the snow has transformed all of us into boot-wearing yetis. I mean, the ones who don't want to trip and die, that is.
Can't wait to see what beauty you evoke!

  35. Oh Brooke, Phillip Lim was totally speaking to you! haha!! I've realized that my style is totally eclectic also- one week I'm in skinnies and heels and the next I'm dressing like a lolita doll. hah! I think if I had to stick to one thing, I would go insane. I can't wait for all of these fashion week posts!
