Well, today marks 2 years of writing this little spunky/neurotic blog. This past year was all about change….the first part of the year I dyed the bottom half of my hair pink because well, I always wanted to…..then in the spring I took a 3 month hiatus because something as lighthearted as blogging can take you to deep, dark places…..during that hiatus I chopped 12 inches of hair off…….in the summer I started back up and THEN a couple of months later changed the name. Looking back now everything that happened to the blog last year was necessary and I'm happy with the results.

If you would have told me 2 years ago that I would be standing here wearing denim on denim……on denim, with leopard AND leather over the knee boots I would have thought you were crazy…and now I have to say this is one of my favorite outfits of all time. I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who has kept up with me and came back after my hiatus….it has meant so much to hear your thoughts about the blog and it keeps me going in the midst of this insane ride called motherhood. I started this blog after becoming a mom because I had no clue what my style was and over the past 2 years I have definitely learned what I love and what I loathe…….Thank you to Molly for helping me take pics when you were about to give birth to your own beautiful baby girl (and after sweet baby Lilly came!), thank you to Sheree for inspiring me every day and keeping me going, thank you Ellen for everything (I can't wait to help you start your own blog!) and THANK YOU soooo much to my friends and family who continue to visit and support the blog…….entering my 3rd of blogging I KNOW its going to be a great year because of you guys :)

New Things: (see original post here)

Day 3: Tried 2 new dishes at my favorite sushi place (Crudo and Creme Brûlée Cheesecake)

Day 4: Made a new recipe of Vanilla Peanut Butter Triffle (low carb/low sugar/ and low fat mind you)

Day 5: tried a new combo of camo with lace (lurve) and tried the Charcuterie Plate at my favorite French restaurant……holy heaven

  1. Oh Brooke you don't know how happy it makes me that I inspire you even a little...amazing the people you can connect with through blogging right? Well I am glad you kept going and it's obvious you needed that time off because you came back so much more in your element and even more stylish than you already were..I know who you are now (style wise) and I don't know if I could say that before.
This look is perfection..denim on denim, leopard and leather...doesn't get much more street chic than this..LOVE it!
