Well friends, I've had several glasses of wine tonight and I'm feelin' a little tips so I'll keep it short, I wore this ensemble on a family outing this weekend and soaked in every minute of the weather and my beautiful family (humble brag much). I now wish that I owned this jumpsuit in 27 different colors because its the perfect piece to run around with the doodle man in, happy Monday :) PS I'm guest posting over on A's Fashion Files tonight so be sure to check that out!!

Its so weird for me to say that I don't wear dresses all that often these days.....the Doodle man is so fast that my days are usually spent darting after him, getting yogurt thrown on my outfit and wanting to be as comfy as possible. But every now and then I like to remind myself that I am still a girl that likes to rock a flouncy dress and have it blow in the wind.....just for a day.  PS yesterday I definitely fished Doodle out of a fountain....he was very pleased with himself.

Hello hello...let me start by saying what's more New York than a black jumpsuit right! I'm bummed that its been so cold because I really want to show you this jumpsuit and all of its gloriousness but believe you me when it gets warmer Ima be rocking the heck out of this!!! I'm actually pretty honored to be wearing this for my "What I Would Wear" to NYFW because its by a local designer in Wilmington, NC....if you get a chance (aka do it now) go check out Castles Couture....I just added like 5 new dresses to my wish list!!! Also pretty honored to be wearing these gorgeous sunnies from Kawaii Kitsch  these are seriously stunning in person. Anywhos, would you guys wear this to Fashion Week?!!!

Eeek so after seeing everyone at fashion week trudging through heaps of snow and looking like their faces were about to fall off I'm actually a little less bummed I wasn't there....and I'm REALLY excited to share what's going to be happening in February on the blog. In case you missed it on Friday I'm doing a segment on what I would be wearing if I was at fashion week so here is day 1!!!!

I recently saw several envelope skirts that I fell in love with in Lucky magazine but of course every single one that I loved was like the cost of my monthly bills and living expenses combined so when I spotted this one from Sylvia & Luka I knew I had to have it!!!! I'm going to have to stop myself from wearing it every day because I legit want to.....anywhos, happy Monday skrillas and I can't wait to show you my next fashion week ensemble :)

Hello hello....I know I just kind of hit you Monday with the new hair color without an explanation...so let 'splain myself. I'm tired of being deemed a "cute" little blonde girl. I just happen to be blonde and little but that doesn't mean that I'm "cute"....and I know that the term cute isn't bad but for some reason it holds a negative connotation for me, its just that I can think of so many other adjectives to describe myself. So....while standing in the hair color aisle at Walgreens this weekend with an issue of Glamour in one hand and my skinny vanilla latte in the other I said "what the hell, lets do this....." And I'm not sure if you can tell.....but that last picture is me "grabbing the bull by the horns" a nice little analogy for what is happening in my life at the moment. 

Soooo I'm curious, is there anything that you guys have been thinking about doing but just haven't had the guts to?????? PS how awesome is this Le Tote top......loving it with the new do!

Do you ever find yourself flipping through your favorite fashion mag and falling instantly in love with an item only to look at the price and scream "that's my monthly freakin mortgage, who can afford that". It happens time and time again....beautiful clothes are...well....expensive. BUT when I happen to find a brand that makes beautiful, well made, affordable clothes....I jump on them like white on rice (sometimes my southernness just has to come out :) ). These fantastic grid print shorts are from Sylvia & Luka and if you haven't checked them out yet then stop what you are doing and visit their site!!! PS I can't wait to show these shorts again once it gets a little warmer, the pleating detail on the sides is just perfection. Happy Wednesday skrillas :)

I'm sure by now you guys have come to know me for my crazy prints and funky silhouettes (and crazy faces for that matter...not sure what's going on with the Elvis lip in these shots!).....but some mornings I wake up and I just want to go with classic black and white. But if I'm going to take that route I'm going to do it in full on (faux) leather and some seriously chic heels...and I had to add a little bit of Brooke to the outfit with a fun pop of color. And I understand the irony of this post considering it snowed in NC last night....but on Sunday when Molly and I shot this it was 76 outside....ps we MAY or may not have trespassed to get these shots.....happy weekend skrillas :)
