Ok so its no surprise that I lurve me some printed pants....... They are a closet staple because they allow me to run around after a 16 month old doodle man and look dang chic while doing it!!!! I used to only wear dresses and skirts (for like the first 20 something years of my life I kid you not) but after becoming a parent....pants are just way more practical.....and after all I started this blog to document my style and how it changed after becoming a mom. So here's to never wearing "mom jeans" and rocking out some printed pants!!! 2013 is going to be full of them!

PS these may or may not be in the mail as we speak......oopsies :)

PS I'm linking up with Molly again today so be sure to check that out!

Well happy Friday skrillas. Last weekend was the Poppy Magazine and triFABB holiday party and it was a rockin good time. Other than leaving empty handed and broken hearted after falling in love with a jacket at Clothes Hound it was a great evening......when it comes to paying the power bill or getting a new jacket....I guess I would rather have the lights on in my home to view all of the awesome jackets I already own.

Anywhos, I'm sure its no surprise that I have mixed feelings on H&M...I LOVE their edgy, trendy clothes but I get so sick of seeing the same items over and over again on the blogosphere so I tend to steer away from the store. However, I went in for the pre-Black Friday sale a couple of weeks ago and couldn't resist these floral satin pants....I was like whatevs, I'm sure no one else will rock them the way I will!!

Above is the outfit I wore to the party and below you can see me frolicking around in the aforementioned beloved jacket ...PS I had a request on how to DIY my sunnies from the last post and its up on the What2Wear Facebook page so check it out and have a loverly weekend skrillas....pss you are most definitely going to want to check back on Monday...I have something pretty exciting to show you!

And now for the necklace du jour....The Stella & Dot Estate Bib

And a little weekly recap for ya!

You guys, it is safe to say that I have an obsession with Anna Dello Russo......I'm seriously in awe of her style and the deeper I dig into her philosophies on fashion the more I grow to love her. So today's Copycat Lookbook is inspired by ADR herself....I've been staring at this photo since fashion week thinking of a way to recreate it...because the Copycat Lookbook series is all about putting together looks with items I already own and all.... and last week it donned on me. I don't have a green jacquard jacket and pale pink pants......BUT I do have a pale pink jacket and green jacquard pants....plus a blue button up, crazy sunnies and an awesome clutch!!!!!! PS the shopping bag I'm holding is full of some vintage goodies I picked up during this photo sesh that I can't wait to show you guys!)

I know this outfit may seem kind of cray cray but I have to be honest....its one of my favorites, ever. By channeling Anna I almost feel more powerful and free to be me, that's what fashion does to me......I walk around every day literally with my heart on my sleeve. I figured I would leave you with some of my favorite ADR quotes, because fashion should be fun and full of joy.......(PSS I REALLY enjoyed hearing about the items in your closet's that make your spouse's cringe!!!!)

"The message is having your own fashion week, You can play with low budget, but you can renovate your wardrobe like if you were front row."

'Wearing lots of JEWELLERY. the sound of JEWELLERY banish bad thoughts and bad ghosts."

"Color me! ACCESSORIZE me!
shock me!"

"FASHION is such stuff as
DREAMS are made on…"

And now for the accessories du jour....The Stella & Dot Liz Drop Earrings

And the Stella & Dot Chelsea Tech Wallet

Getting Ready for NYC!!!

Guess who is going to the Independent Fashion Blogger's Conference in New York during Fashion Week.....THIS GIRL!! I have the best most supportive family, I just found out about the conference like a week ago (ok I'm so out of the loop all the time..) and my family rallied to make sure I get to go. Mammadukes is sending me as an early birthday present and although we couldn't get anyone in our family to watch the doodle man my sweet sweet husband is driving with me AND doodle up to New York. I am so blessed to have a family that supports my love (ok serious infatuation) with the fashion and blogging world. I figured I would give you guys a little sneak peek of some of my outfits for the trip....can you spot doodle passed out in the pile of clothes? Oh and to top it all off and get me pumped for the trip my husband surprised me with 120th Anniversary September Issue of Vogue...it doesn't get much better!!
