Its easy to get caught up these days in things that do not matter. Its easy to forget the important parts of life. Its also easy to  forget who you are as a person…….however, fortunately, certain people are brought in and out of our lives to remind us what life is all about. Living a passionate and fulfilling life means different things to different people….but once you find what it means to you……cling tightly to that notion and do everything you can to make it happen.

Speaking of a fulfilling life and of beauty from the inside shining out……my beautiful and amazing photographer and friend Jessica got engaged this past weekend………nothing but love and respect for her and wishing her, Austin and Noah an incredible life together.

Growing up in a household where my holidays were split between families was pretty difficult if I'm going to be honest. Over the years it became easier and eventually like second nature but something always felt off. Those of you that have been following me for a while or even just recently know that I'm currently going through a separation….and this Thanksgiving is the first one I will be spending without my son because he will be with his father. Tearing up as I write this because I never thought I would be on this end of things….having to "split" our child for the holidays and all that comes along with that. However, I am very thankful for the fact that Andrew has so many incredible people that love him and that he will be spending this holiday with a group of people that I still (and will always) consider my family and he couldn't be in better hands. Also thankful that I have the pleasure of spending Thanksgiving with my parents in their new home in Virginia Beach. Hope you all enjoy your time letting those who mean the most to you know how thankful you are for them…..enjoying an insane amount of good food……watching football and the Macy's Day Parade…..and enjoying life :)

A couple of weekends ago I felt the urge to go home to the beach…..and every weekend since then actually. I threw on my favorite silk tunic, a jacket and some gladiators. In my bag was my favorite denim skirt, a bathing suit and two pairs of shoes……Three outfits later I was beginning to see the potential with multifunctional items. If something you love if sheer….buy a slip…….toss a jacket over an old dress and wear it as a skirt…..or tuck a thin tunic into a skirt and wear it as a blouse. My point here is buy items that you love…….and make them work until they literally fall apart on you…..here you go……

Straight up this is going to be my spring/summer uniform. I now own 3 of these white tees from Gap and I hope to acquire more because they are perfection……I now also own 4 different colors of leather track shorts….. and leather sandals…… I can never get enough. So let's just get used to me being in a white tee (yup in my white tee….anyone?), leather track shorts and leather sandals….boom done.

As I mentioned I've been shooting the Who What Wear 30 Day Wardrobe Challenge out of order and I've been done with it for several months now….but I'm determined to show every look on the blog so here is the "give a feminine dress edge with a moto jacket". Obviously I did my own spin on this with a denim moto jacket and my new favorite gold Vanessa Mooney choker. Today I'm heading off to the beach to celebrate my big sister from my sorority's wedding and I couldn't be more excited. Sun, sand, getting to see old friends and lotssssss of seafood….does life get any better? Oh and a million outfit changes doesn't hurt :)
