After reading Simon Doonan's latest book The Asylum, I finally put my finger on why the fashion industry has been letting me down for the past couple of years. It used to be filled with nitty gritty misfits and questionable characters that could turn out the most amazing creativity that would knock your socks right off. Being an undercover misfit myself I felt a strong connection . But over recent years pretty pretty princesses with as much creativity as a stick of gum have been infiltrating the industry (as well as the blogging world) and its losing its dark, questionable characters. So please fashion community…..do us all a favor and BRING BACK THE MISFITS…..they make the world a much more interesting place……that is all :)
